- 1 kg ground pork (add little fat if desire)
- 1/3 cup grated water chestnuts (singkamas)
- 1/4 kilo shrimp chopped
- 1/3 cup grated carrots
- 2 medium or 1 large minced onion(s)
- 1 cloves of minced garlic
- bunch of spring onions or leeks
- 1 egg
- 7 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 50 pcs. large or 100 pcs. small wanton wrapper or siomai wrapper.
- Water for steaming
Chilli Paste:
- 3 pcs. Chillies (Siling Labuyo)
- 3 tablespoons cooking oil
- 2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
- Combine all the ingredients except for the water and wanton wrapper and mix thoroughly.
- Wrap the mixed ingredients using the won ton wrapper.
Cooking Procedure:
3.When the water gets to a rolling boil, arrange the siomai in the steamer and let stand for 15-20 minutes, longer for larger pieces.
4.Serve with soy sauce, calamansi
and sesame oil or with a chilli paste.

Combine chopped chillies and minced garlic then simmer for around 20 minutes or till most of the water has evaporated. Add oil, simmer and stir well.
