This veggie meat is out of banana blossom (puso ng saging). It is very easy to cook. A good recipe for vegetarian. this is an alternative to meat burgers because the taste is near to the taste of a meat.
Here are the ingredients of this recipe.
INGREDIENTS:
1 big banana blossom (puso ng saging)
1/2 cup cornstartch
5 cloves of garlic
2 tsp of powdered pepper
*salt to taste
1 large egg
cooking oil for frying
PROCEDURE:
1. Remove and discard the banana heart’s tough covering. Slice the banana heart thinly crosswise.
2.Put 3-4 tbsp of salt and squeeze banana heart to remove bitter juice.
3.Rinse to remove the salt, drain and set aside.Do this until all the extract is all remove. Set aside.
4.Heat oil and saute the garlic and onion.Add puso ng saging and cook until the liquid has dried up.Add spring onions and Mama Sita's Oyster Sauce. Let it cool.
5. Bet egg and mix all other ingredients to the banana bud. Heat atleast 2 tsp of cooking oil to the pan.
6. Use spoon to put banana bud into the pan. Shape it like a burger patties.
Don't worry if it looks wet. It well dry up as you cook it. Fry it until golden brown.
